Bitumen 40/50 is produced through the oxidation process applied to vacuum bottom (the raw material for bitumen production obtained from the residue of the vacuum distillation tower in oil refineries) in bitumen production units, resulting in a penetration grade (a type of test to determine the hardness of bitumen) between 40 and 50. Application: The primary use of Bitumen 40/50 is in road construction for temperate regions. Pars Sanat Middle East Bitumen Refinery is one of the producers of Bitumen 40/50.
